Family Therapy

Family Therapy

Living together as a family and making things work can be incredibly challenging, when there are so many strong voices and many needs to be satisfied. Whether you attend by yourself or with a partner or family member/s, I will use a family focus. I see family or couples therapy as a chance to look at relationships from a perspective far broader than the people in the room. In reality we are influenced by patterns handed down by the generations. I work strongly on this idea myself and it is helpful to see the way we connect and pull apart, overwork and underwork for each other all out of love and in an effort to reduce anxiety as it rises and falls in each other. The more you know the more fascinating it can be. It is the chance for you to find a way to hold onto your ‘self’ and personal goals, yet stay connected with your family members. This type of therapy goes deeper than the content of our everyday lives. You can carry it through a lifetime and build an awareness around it for years to come once you know what to look for…
